Clinic History
Arne Jensen Zabell opened Zabell Hearing Aids in the 1960’s. He served on board of directors of The Association of Hearing Instrument Practitioners and served the hearing needs of his clients on the Hamilton Mountain until 1995. Now under new management, the people of Zabell Hearing Centre, Inc. carry on with Mr. Zabell’s belief in customer service, compassion and caring.

Prior to becoming a Hearing Instrument Specialist, Ian studied Political Science and Inorganic Chemistry at Ottawa’s Carleton University, and, much more recently, graduated from the MBA program at the University of Phoenix. As the Chief Operations Officer of Zabell Hearing Centre, Inc., he believes that the best way to keep patients returning, is to follow the rule set out by the company’s founder, Arne Jensen Zabell; the needs of the patient must always be the number one priority. |
Francyne Lovelock
Hearing Instrument Specialist
Francyne has been a practicing Hearing Instrument Specialist, in both Ontario and Quebec, for over 30 years. Her wealth of experience, in both the clinical and manufacturing environments, as well as her dedication to continuously upgrading her skills, has kept Zabell on the forefront of the latest hearing instrument technology, allowing us to fit even the most challenging of hearing losses. |
Mitch Lovelock
Hearing Instrument Specialist
Mitch has recently completed the GBC Hearing Instrument Specialist program and has become an invaluable member of our professional team. Prior to becoming a member of our team, Mitch had earned a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations at Cornell University, and was a key figure organizing our administrative system. His dedication to helping our patients is Mitch’s greatest strength and a key reason that Zabell has been able to bring people back over and over. |
Andrea Lynn Sloan
Hearing Instrument Specialist
Andrea worked as a UN Security Liason Officer in Kosovo, as well as several other locations until her return to Canada in 2003. She began studying to become a Hearing Instrument Specialist in 2005 and graduated at the top of her class. Zabell took the opportunity to bring Andrea aboard before she finished her schooling because she seemed to show an uncommon dedication to people and a desire to help them hear well. Andrea currently takes care of the Dundas, Ontario location of Zabell Hearing Centre, Inc. |
Kelly Ballegeer
Head Administrator
Kelly began her career at Zabell Hearing Centre in 2002 and has been very influential in customizing and designing procedures that enable Zabell to manage both customer care and third party relations, while at the same time balancing an unfettered dedication to our patients. |
